COACHES: Basketball Round-up

Hello Coaches,

As basketball season nears comes to an end, here are a few things to remember.

RETURN YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!
Please send you basketballs and backpacks (scorebooks, first aid kits, pumps, practice jerseys, etc.) to Mr. Han via the school office, or simply bring them by the 7th grade room after school.

TEAM PICTURES:
ALL BOYS – Next Thursday, March19th. Please have your students bring their jerseys to school. ALL varsity players are to wear a RED PE shirt. Jerseys will be redistributed for pictures.ALL B-C Boys – Jerseys will be collected that day.
GIRLS A – Next Tuesday, March 17th. Please have students wear a RED PE shirt to be worn underneath jerseys. Jerseys will be redistributed for pictures
GIRLS B – Already taken! But please have students return jerseys on that day.
GIRLS C – Next Tuesday, March 7th. Please bring jerseys to school.

TEAM RECORDS / AWARDS:
Please fill out the attached form and return to Mr. Han. You can print and fill it out, or fill it out and email me an attachment.

TEAM DINNER:
ALL awards will be handed out at the End-Of-Year Banquet.
If you would like to do a “Frantone’s Night” please let me know ASAP. Due to the number of participants in basketball, we may have multiple dinners per Levels, or one for boys and one for girls. Please let me know which you think is best.

Varsity Jerseys

Dear Parent / Guardian,

Please have your student return his/her jersey (top and bottom) to the school office by Monday, March 9, 2009.

You will be assessed a $40 replacement fee if your jersey (top and bottom) is NOT turned in by Monday, March 9, 2009.

Winter / Spring Round-up

WINTER
Congratulations to the Boys AND Girls A Basketball Teams. Both teams made the playoffs, thouhg neither team was able to advance to the second round. For ALL Varsity Team Members, please remember to turn in your Basketball Jerseys to Mr. Han. Anyone who has NOT turned in their jerseys will be assessed a $40 fee as of Friday, March 6th, 2009.

B and C basketball continues through mid March. Please support our B and C teams as they play their remaining games.

SPRING
Practice for Softball has already begun. ALL Girls who play softball MUST fill out an eligibility contract and permission slip. ALL Girls who play softball MUST also pay the $40 participation fee AS WELL AS $40 for a new Softball Uniform. Uniforms will include both the top and bottom. Tops will be personalized with the student's last name and a number of her choice. Uniforms MUST be ordered by this WEDNESDAY (3/4/09). Please make sure to send your payments to the office ASAP.

Try-outs / Practice for the Boys A and B volleyball Teams will begin March 9th. Volleyball players will also need to turn in forms and $40 to the office. Uniforms will be dicussed once practice begins.

TOURNAMENT
St. Linus School will host its 1st annual Boys A Volleyball Tournament at John Glenn High School on Saturday, March 28th. Please check back soon for details.

C Basketball Tourney

I would like to thank all of you for participating in our “C” Basketball Tournament this past weekend. Congratulations to Beatitudes of Our Lord who took 1st Place in the Championship bracket, and St. Cornelius who took 1st Place in the Consolation bracket. Our “C” basketball tournament is an annual event and we look forward to seeing you again.

B Level Players – Bring a 8-12 pack of Gatorade 16 oz.
C Level Players – Bring a case of Arrowhead Bottled Water
